YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, known as Ducky Bhai, has spoken candidly about marriage and divorce, saying that the institution is only for those who are responsible and emotionally mature.
Known for his family-friendly content and his bond with wife Aroob Jatoi, Ducky Bhai made the remarks while speaking to members of the media outside a court.
He directed sharp criticism at those who enter marriage without genuine commitment.
“Marriage is a serious matter. If you are not mature, do not get married,” he said. “If you are not going to take it forward, then you are ruining the girl’s life. And if the girl does the same, her life is ruined too. So simply do not do it if you already know.”
He said people whose marriages end in divorce often sense it coming even before the wedding.
“Those whose marriages are going to break, they already know before the marriage that it will break,” he said. “As Khalil ur Rehman Qamar says, the girl who is going to leave has already left before she actually leaves. She has already made her escape route before the wedding.”
Ducky Bhai also urged newly married couples to resolve their disputes privately rather than involving their parents.
“When you get married, you are an adult. There is no need to bring mummy and daddy into it,” he said. “Most girls share everything with their parents, most boys share everything with their parents. Don’t leave it to mummy and daddy. Sit in the room with your wife, talk it out, solve your problem and move forward. That problem will be solved in one day. But when you bring your parents into it, and she is telling her mother this and her father that, it just drags on and on.”
Ducky Bhai’s court appearance came in connection with an ongoing case against him and his wife Aroob Jatoi over the alleged promotion of online gambling applications.
The case was registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) over charges of promoting online gambling platforms illegally last year.
Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo presided over the hearing, during which the accused, including Saad ur Rehman, appeared before the court and marked their attendance.
During proceedings, the NCCIA submitted a report stating that his name had been removed from the Provisional National Identification List (PNIL). The report noted that his name was initially added due to lack of cooperation during the investigation, but he later joined the inquiry after securing bail.
Investigating authorities informed the court that they no longer have any objection to removing his name from the passport control list, and a formal communication has been sent to the relevant deputy director recommending approval of the removal.
