An online dispute between producer Umer Mukhtar and digital creator Mahnoor Rahim has come to a close, with both parties confirming an amicable settlement after weeks of public tension.
The resolution was announced through a joint statement shared on Instagram.
Umer wrote, “Both parties confirm that statements were made and circulated on social media in recent weeks, which have since been addressed through the appropriate legal process.”

“Following formal engagement and mediation between Mr. Sardar Taimoor Aslam, ASC for Mr. Mukhtar and Syed Hassan Ali Raza, ASC for Ms. Rahim, the parties have agreed to amicably resolve the matter,” the statement added.
As part of the agreement, Mahnoor Rahim agreed to remove all related content from the public domain.
“As part of the resolution Ms Mahnoor Rahim has, in good faith and without admission of liability, agreed that the said statements and posts shall no longer subsist in the public domain,” he statement read.
In response, Umer Mukhtar withdrew legal action.
The statement confirmed, “Mr Umer Mukhtar pursuant thereto has, in good faith and without prejudice to his rights, agreed to withdraw all legal proceedings so initiated.”
Both sides described the outcome as a mutual decision. The statement concluded, “This joint statement is issued in good faith to formally record the amicable resolution of the matter.”
The controversy began when Mahnoor Rahim shared a video on Instagram describing an uncomfortable interaction with a television producer. She later named Umer Mukhtar in a follow-up post, which led to widespread discussion online. Mukhtar’s legal team then issued a defamation notice, seeking removal of the content.
Rahim responded through her legal counsel, stating that her comments were made in good faith and in the public interest. The dispute soon gained attention across social media and raised broader questions about professional conduct in the entertainment industry.
Actor Hania Aamir also addressed the situation after her name surfaced in the discussion.
She said, “My name has recently been mentioned in online conversations regarding a situation I had no knowledge of or involvement in. I want to address this clearly.”
She added, “I have chosen to distance myself from the individual being discussed. Any perceived association should not be interpreted as endorsement of another person’s actions.”
With both parties now agreeing to the same terms and confirming the settlement publicly, the development marks a clear end to the dispute.
