Federal Political Advisor to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) have formed an alliance to carry out terrorism inside Pakistan with India’s backing.
Speaking on a private media outlet talkshow, Sanaullah was responding to questions about reports of TTP activity in Kashmir along with renewed TTP presence in Balochistan and continuing activity of Fitna al Khawarij in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
He maintained that it is now completely evident and there is no secret left that the TTP and the BLA have recently formed an alliance.
“This alliance was formed precisely on the basis that they would carry out terrorism in Pakistan and India is behind this,” he declared.
He went on to say that India has organised the groups and brought them together while also setting up joint training camps.
“India is the one behind all of this. India has organised them and has brought them together. Now their training camps are also located there. They are being given joint training and there is also information that Israel is contributing its share by providing modern technology in the training camps,” he added.
Turning to Azad Kashmir, Sanaullah noted that people there fall into two categories. “One segment consists of those very people who put forward demands for public welfare which were accepted with great goodwill by both the Government of Pakistan and the Government of Azad Kashmir,” he explained, citing electricity rates, wheat subsidy and provision of medicines in hospitals as examples.
He pointed out that Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif approved the demands regardless of who raised them because he considered them a right of the people.
“Alongside them there are also people who say that Kashmir will become independent,” he stated. He further said that this group wants the reserved seats for refugees in elections abolished and also wants an affidavit removed under which residents currently commit to voting for accession to Pakistan in the event of independence or a plebiscite.
“Regarding some of the funding certain individuals are based in the UK,” he told the show. He contended these elements trace back to India’s involvement and its attempt to aggravate the Kashmir issue.
