India names 15-member squad for Asia Cup 2025

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has finalised a 15-member squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025.

 

Suryakumar Yadav will lead the side, with Shubman Gill serving as vice-captain. The squad also includes Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Jitesh Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah.

 

Other players named are Arshdeep Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Sanju Samson, Harshit Rana, and Rinku Singh.

 

The Asia Cup is scheduled to begin on September 9 in the United Arab Emirates. The high-voltage clash between Pakistan and India will take place on September 14.

 

Group A consists of Pakistan, India, the UAE, and Oman, while Group B features Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong.

 

As always, the Pakistan-India contest is expected to be a major highlight for cricket fans. If both teams progress to the Super Four stage, they could meet again on September 21. The final of the tournament will be played on September 28 in Dubai.
