New Zealand and India are playing the first match of a three-match Test series in Bengaluru. The entire Indian team has been bowled out for just 46 runs in the first inning.
The Indian team won the toss and decided to bat, but Kiwi bowlers proved to be a nightmare.
Five players were dismissed for zero, including Virat Kohli, Sarfaraz Khan, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin, while Rishabh Pant was the top scorer for India with 20 runs.
This is India’s third-lowest score in Test cricket and also the lowest score by an Indian cricket team at home. Earlier, India’s lowest total was 36 against Australia.
New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry dismissed five players.
