A high-profile Iranian delegation arrived in Islamabad on Friday night, led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, ahead of talks with a US team set to begin Saturday afternoon.

The American team is also reaching Pakistan on Saturday morning.

The talks come at a moment when Pakistan has positioned itself as a mediator in one of the region's most pressing geopolitical tensions. International observers have taken notice of Islamabad's role in bringing both sides to the table.

"Pakistan is literally challenging Israel and fully protecting Iranian delegates," one international observer stated. "This is a big honor for Pakistan. Israel knows they can't do anything to Pakistan even with USA support."

Another observer pointed out the broader implications of Pakistan's stance. "Pakistan has done the unthinkable and helped stop the West Asia war. You must give them credit," they noted.

Another international observer, despite being critical of Pakistan's domestic policies, acknowledged the diplomatic breakthrough.

"I'm very critical of some of your domestic policies, but I applaud you for ending one of our generation's most dangerous wars," the user stated.

International observers highlighted that the complexity of coordinating the Iranian delegation's journey to Islamabad. "Despite the challenges involved in ensuring the safe travel of the large Iranian delegation from Iran to Pakistan, Pakistan managed to pull it off," one observer mentioned. "Israel must have tried hard to sabotage the peace talks but failed."

Several observers indicated that even if no final accord emerges from these talks, an agreement to continue negotiations could be a step forward.

"Even if both sides don't reach any final accord, they may agree on more talks. In that case, ceasefire may continue," one post read.
