The internet has a lot to say to actor Komal Aziz Khan for revealing that she does not financially support her mother, arguing that household expenses should fall on men and not women.
Khan often holds question and answer sessions with fans on her Instagram account. During one such session, a follower asked her if she financially supports her mother, to which she responded, “Nope. I don’t believe in women paying the family bills, it’s a man’s job to do so.”

In a follow up story, she explained the family’s financial setup and credited her father for planning ahead.
“Thanks to my father for leaving enough for my mother that she will never be dependent on her children. This is why savings and investments are important guys,” she wrote.
The comments drew a wave of reactions from social media users, with one commenting, “There is no harm to give money to ur parents. I love to do that. I feel its a small gesture from my side to acknowledge their efforts. Thats it.. otherwise they have enough to spend a good life [sic].”
Another user was more critical, writing, “Girl this is not flex u have tiny heart even for Ur mother [sic].”
A third comment read, “There is no harm helping your parents they are your responsibility.”
Some reactions were sharper in tone. One user wrote, “She needs serious therapy,” while another commented, “Yeah if mother has kids like you… it’s important that father should leave something for their wives… [sic]”
Komal Aziz Khan made her television debut in 2015 with ‘Ishq-e-Benaam’, playing the lead role of Areeba, a performance that earned her a Hum Award nomination for Best Soap Actress.
