TikToker Nadeem Nani Wala has come under criticism for saying he told his sister to “shoot back” after she told him that police had threatened to shoot her during a recent heated exchange at a check-post.

As per the details, Nadeem, while speaking to a private media outlet, accused Lahore police of threatening his sister Samia Mubarak and registering a false case against her.

The interview came after Lahore police registered the case against Samia for allegedly driving an Audi without a number plate, trying to flee said check-post in the Defence B area and injuring a constable.

He alleged that police acted against his sister to gain publicity on social media and fabricated a story to justify the case. He said his sister runs an aesthetic clinic in DHA, is not a TikToker, and was driving home from work with another woman in the car when police stopped her.

According to Nadeem, officers asked his sister to come to the police station for two minutes so they could photograph the car. He said she refused to go to the station at night, over which one officer then told her, “If you do not come to the police station, we will shoot you.”

He said his sister called him from the check-post and told him police would shoot her. “You shoot too,” he said he replied.

He said she asked him, “Have you gone mad?”

His reply drew sharp comments from social media users as one user wrote, “Yeh CCD ka case hai. Badmashi check karo iski [This is a case for the CCD. Check his hooliganism].”

Another wrote, “mene kaha tum bhi fire mar do… wth is wrong with these tiktokers [I said you shoot too… wth is wrong with these TikTokers].” A third commented, “Saray tiktokers aisy hi hein [All TikTokers are like this].”

Nadeem also said he reached the check-post within 10 to 12 minutes and that a sub-inspector promised police would take no action. He then went to the station, where the station house officer arrived about an hour later, followed by the Superintendent of Police (SP) Cantt.

He said the SP told them Samia would face an FIR [First Information Report] and arrest. He asked police to hold him instead. “She is a woman, keep me. Do your point-scoring on me,” he said he told the SP.

Nadeem recalled that police released his sister after taking a surety bond, and a few hours later, six officers, including a female constable, came to his house. “The SP has said the FIR must be filed, and four of the six of us have to tell a false story against you,” he quoted one officer as telling him.

He added the FIR falsely accused his sister of hitting a police official with a car, a claim he called “completely bogus and false”.

He also said the SP threatened the station house officer in front of him. “If any question is raised about me, I will take your job,” he said the SP told the officer. He said the station has CCTV cameras and asked the department to retrieve the footage.

Nadeem said he will file an application with the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) asking for the SP’s removal. “I am asking for justice right now,” he said.

Explaining the missing number plate, he said the plate stays in the trunk when installers remove it during a wrap change. “When we change the car’s wrap, the people who apply the wrap take the number plate off temporarily, and then it stays in the trunk,” he said.

He said he fits the plate for long drives. “Whenever we have to go on a long drive outside DHA, we put the number plate on.”

Social media users did not accept this explanation either. One person wrote, “Koi be number plate utar kar nahin Rakhta. Ye bakwas kar raha ha [Nobody takes off their number plate. He is talking nonsense].”

Another remarked, “Kahani Achi Create ki hai [He has created a good story].”

Others told him to follow the law. One user wrote, “Bhai jan num plate TU zarori hai ab law sa barh k nai ho.. [Brother, the number plate is necessary. You are not above the law].” Another asked, “Are you above the law?”

Another comment read, “Theek kia police ne [The police did the right thing],” while one comment joked, “Eska software update krna chahiye [His software needs an update].”
