Actor Nameer Khan walked as a showstopper for Edenrobe Ceremonial on Day 4, the finale of LAAM Fashion Week Season 2 in Lahore, leading to a social media storm of appreciation.
Nameer wore a velvet formal menswear look with a long black cloak and a long belt accent.
Fans quickly connected the appearance to his role as the much-hated Zamil in the smash hit drama Dar-e-Nijaat. Many viewers dislike the character, but only had praise for Nameer.
One Indian Instagram account said, “Who was saying Zamil is being defamed for nothing? See how good he looks,” while captioning the video, “Stop spreading negativity about Zamil.”
One person wrote, “Zamil in a parallel universe.”
A third one said, “Zaryab crying in the corner.”
One post summarised the appearance by saying, “Zamil is looking zalim.”
Another read, “Hating Zamil in drama but falling in love with him on runway.”
One user stated, “The only red flag Pakistanis are willing to tolerate.”
Written by Umera Ahmed, Dar-e-Nijaat follows Zaryab, played by Durefishan Saleem, after a painful betrayal by her childhood love Zamil. Zamil moves on with his life without giving Zaryab the honesty or consideration she expected from him. The drama also stars Sheheryar Munawar as Abu Bakar.
Zamil’s behaviour has drawn criticism from viewers, and Nameer himself has acknowledged the problematic side of the character.
Nameer made his television debut in 2023 in Mein on ARY Digital, where he played Ryan Jaffar. His role as Ammar Bakhtiyar in the Hum TV drama Qarz-e-Jaan followed in 2024 and became his breakthrough. Critics praised his portrayal of the negative character. Qarz-e-Jaan was directed by Saqib Khan, who also directs Dar-e-Nijaat.
In 2025, Nameer played Shamraiz Amritsari in the ARY Digital drama Main Manto Nahin Hoon. He also starred in the Eid telefilm Badru Chacha Ka Makaan, where audiences noticed his comic timing.
In 2026, he played the male lead Faraz opposite Sehar Khan in Aik Aur Pakeezah.
