Geo Entertainment has released the teaser for its upcoming drama serial “Captain Isfandyar Shaheed”, and the response from viewers has been overwhelmingly positive as they flood the comments section.
“Finally can’t wait to watch this show🔥🔥,” said one while another wrote, “Wow hinnha afridi❤️🙌.”
One user wrote, “Outstanding yr well-done.” Another added, “Waiting for this drama.”
While several others said that they could not wait for the drama’s release, it merits a mention that it is based on the life of Captain Isfandyar Ahmad Bukhari, who embraced martyrdom in September 2015.
Born in Attock in 1988, Capt Isfandyar achieved the Sword of Honour during his training at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), a distinction reserved for the top cadet of his batch.
He was martyred while leading his troops in an operation following the terrorist attack on PAF Camp Badaber in Peshawar, and was later awarded the Tamgha-e-Jurat for his courage.
“Captain Isfandyar Shaheed” will air every Sunday at 8 pm starting July 19.
It is a 7th Sky Entertainment presentation, produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi. Haseeb Hassan, who previously directed the military drama “Jo Bichar Gaye”, is directing the project, while Abid Hassan Abbasi has written the script.
The cast includes Ali Ammar, Hina Afridi, Nauman Masood, Salma Hasan, Tauseeq Haider, Hina Bayat, Saad Azhar, Umer Darr, Nayyer Ejaz and Hassan Niazi.
