TV host Iqrar-ul-Hassan has revealed who he considers the person he loves the most, while also speaking about his relationship with his three wives and his views on family vlogging.
Speaking in an interview with a private media outlet, Iqrar was asked if it was true that he loved his second wife the most. He initially avoided the question, joking that the time had already run out, before saying he loves all of them equally.
“I love all of them the most,” Iqrar said.
When asked to deny the claim about his second wife, he said, “No, I love Farah very much, of course. That doesn’t mean I don’t love the first and third.”
He then clarified that when it comes to the person he loves the most, he always names Qurat ul Ain, the mother of his son.
“I always say one thing: if there is someone I love the most, it is Qurat ul ain, my son’s mother… I mean, I don’t love the other two any less.”
Iqrar then drew a distinction between the person he loves the most and the person who loves him the most.
“And if someone loves me the most, it is Farah,” he said, adding that “the one we all love the most is Aroosa.”
The conversation also touched on Iqrar’s views about family vlogging and the women in his family having their own public presence.
He said that he has always supported family members who want to become known publicly, as long as they stay within what he considers reasonable limits.
“Everyone wants something. Look, what right do I have to take away the right or entitlement of one of my family members who wants to become famous,” he asked.
Iqrar said that the women in his family have always had their own presence on television and social media, adding that what is now called family vlogging had, in some form, started from their home through morning shows.
“All the women in my life have always had their own social media and television presence,” he said.
He also spoke about supporting the women in his family when they wanted to start businesses or pursue their own projects.
According to Iqrar, when Annie told him she wanted to start a clothing brand, he encouraged her to go ahead.
“So I have always tried to empower the women in my family, to make them stronger, to make them capable,” he stated.
On family vlogging, Iqrar said that he does not oppose the concept itself but believes there should be limits on what families choose to share publicly.
His comments came during a wider rapid-fire segment in which he also spoke about his future television plans, his former programme Sar-e-Aam and speculation surrounding his personal life.
