As the hashtag gathered popularity, there were reports going around that Cartoon Network was closing down for good. However, these claims are not true and have been completely rejected by the channel.

In a statement, Cartoon Network clarified, “Cartoon Network would like to clarify that there is no truth to the speculation that the network or the studio is shutting down. With a number of recently announced greenlights, we remain committed to continually investing in innovative content that entertains and inspires our viewers across the globe.”

The post talked about the struggles of animation workers, like unemployment and money problems, even though they worked hard during the pandemic. When COVID-19 hit, the animation industry continued making shows remotely, making it one of the few forms of entertainment that didn’t stop. But now, many animators are without jobs, with some unemployed for over a year.
