Pakistani television host and actor Javeria Saud has criticised women above 30 for their obsession with achieving a size zero figure.

Speaking on her own podcast, she said that girls also try to undergo cosmetic surgery to resemble Bollywood actresses such as Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif.

Javeria said that her own children question her use of photo filters and push back against the practice at home.

“My kids fight with me when I put filters on my pictures,” she said. “They ask me, ‘Why do you do that? Are you not satisfied with Allah’s creation?’ Here in our country, people have this obsession with becoming Bollywood heroines like Kajol, Kareena, and Katrina. They change their faces accordingly. My kids are so against my filters that they delete my app, but I download it again.”

She then spoke about what she called girls’ obsession with becoming size zero, particularly those past the age of 30.

“Girls also have another obsession with becoming size zero,” she said. “They think they look beautiful in a zero-size body. Especially girls after 30 have become thin, but they lose their collagen and muscle, and they look like a sucked mango. They don’t look good after dieting.”

Javeria Saud is a Pakistani television actor, host and producer known for her candid and outspoken presence on screen.
