Jemima Goldsmith has married Dublin-born businessman Cameron O’Reilly, more than two decades after her marriage to former Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan ended.
Jemima’s sister-in-law Jemima Jones, who is married to her brother Ben Goldsmith, shared news of the wedding on Instagram while posting photographs from the occasion. Jones shared a picture of herself with her husband, both dressed for the wedding, and wrote, “Celebrating Jemima and Cameron’s wedding, with my favorite date, what a happy day!”
The post did not include photographs of Jemima or O’Reilly.
The wedding follows a report by the Daily Mail in May that Jemima had become engaged to O’Reilly after the pair dated for around 12 months. The report said that the couple had also been living together, dividing their time between O’Reilly’s house in Switzerland and Jemima’s home in West London.
Jemima and O’Reilly reportedly met through their shared interest in documentaries. A source cited by the Daily Mail said that the two “first met through work” and had been friends before their relationship began.
“They have been together as a couple for just over a year. He’s a very private person and Jemima is determined to protect that,” the source said at the time.
O’Reilly is a multi-millionaire financier and the son of the late international rugby union player Sir Anthony O’Reilly.
Jemima’s marriage to Imran Khan lasted nine years before the couple separated in 2004. The former couple have two sons, Sulaiman and Kasim. Sulaiman is 29 years old, while Kasim is 27.
