Former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s ex-wife, Jemima Goldsmith is reportedly engaged to Irish-Australian financier Cameron O’Reilly after the two dated for just over a year, according to the UK publication, ‘The Mail on Sunday’.
Goldsmith, 52, an award-winning screenwriter and documentary producer, is said to be “very happy” with O’Reilly, 62, a multi-millionaire investor and the son of a media magnate and former international rugby player, the late Sir Anthony O’Reilly.
The two reportedly met through work, with O’Reilly having served as an executive producer on several films and documentaries. A friend told the publication that they were friends before becoming a couple and now divide their time between his home in Switzerland and Goldsmith’s home in West London.
O’Reilly previously worked in his family’s media business, Independent News & Media, and later APN News & Media in Australia before launching private equity fund Bayard Capital in 2003. He later bought Swiss metering company Landis+Gyr, which was sold to Toshiba for $2.3 billion in 2011.
Goldsmith is the daughter of the late billionaire Sir James Goldsmith, got married to Khan when she was 21 and Khan was 42, and divorced in 2004 after nine years together. They share two sons, Sulaiman and Kasim.
She has since been linked to several high-profile figures, including Hugh Grant and Russell Brand.
Goldsmith has also remained publicly vocal in support of Khan, who has been in prison in Pakistan since 2023. She has always stood by her ex-husband, rallying support for him on social media and other platforms.
The reported engagement comes months after the death of Goldsmith’s mother, Lady Annabel Goldsmith, who passed away in October last year at the age of 91.
