Actress Juggun Kazim expressed anger over the state of Nathia Gali after finding trash scattered across the popular tourist destination in Abbottabad during a recent visit.

She shared a video on her Instagram account speaking out against the litter she encountered at the scenic hill station.

“This is honestly ridiculous. People throw their trash everywhere. I’m in Nathia Gali right now, and almost every place I visit looks like this. Just look at it, there’s garbage everywhere,” she said in the video.

She questioned why visitors could not dispose of their waste properly. “If these were plastic bags, why couldn’t the people who brought them here simply carry them back and throw them in a proper garbage bin,” she asked.

Kazim went on to criticise the public’s tendency to blame the country’s problems on others while ignoring their own role in maintaining cleanliness.

“The point is, we always complain about what will happen to our country, how things will improve, and why the situation is getting worse. But we can’t even take responsibility for keeping our surroundings clean,” she said.

She acknowledged that she rarely reacts this strongly. “Sorry, I don’t usually get this angry, but this is just unacceptable.”

The actress then connected the littering to Pakistan’s broader climate challenges.

“Then we complain about climate change, extreme weather, hailstorms during the rainy season, and unexpected heat in winter. But all of this is happening because we don’t take care of this beautiful world that Allah has blessed us with,” she said.

She concluded by holding the public accountable for the consequences. “So when conditions get worse, we have to accept that it’s our own fault too.”
