Kareena Kapoor Khan has spoken out after her husband Saif Ali Khan was attacked during a burglary at their home in Bandra early Thursday morning.
Mumbai police have confirmed to the media that the intruder entered Saif's residence around 2:30 am where he got into a confrontation with the actor. Saif was taken to hospital around 3:30 am.
Kareena, who was not at home during the attack, has assured fans that her family, including their children Jeh and Taimur, are safe.
A statement from the actress reads: "There was an attempted burglary at Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which he is in hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. We request the media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the Police are already doing their due investigations. Thank you all for your concern."
At the time of the incident, Kareena was dining out with her friends Rhea Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, and her sister Karisma Kapoor.
Karisma shared a picture of their dinner on Instagram, captioning it “Girls night in.”
The Bandra Police have registered an FIR and are actively investigating the crime, focusing on identifying and arresting the intruder. Three house attendants are being questioned, with one reportedly sustaining injuries during the confrontation.
Saif, who returned to Mumbai a week ago after a New Year's vacation in Switzerland with Kareena and their children, is expected to make a full recovery. Authorities are working diligently to apprehend the suspect and ensure the family's safety.
