A video circulating on social media shows a man from Budgam in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) praising Pakistan’s military leadership following the country facilitated a ceasefire between the United States (US) and Iran.
In the video, the speaker greeted Pakistanis and addressed Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir, stating that “Every Kashmiri is happy and praying” over Pakistan's efforts to stop the conflict.
“Greetings from occupied Kashmir, Budgam, to all Pakistani brothers and sisters. Asim Munir, today every Kashmiri is happy and praying for you for stopping the America-Iran war,” he said in the video.
He also referred to biased Indian media coverage, stating that “Godi media” TV channels [a term used for Indian media outlets aligned with the ruling extremist BJP government] appear subdued after Pakistan pulled off the diplomatic miracle.
The man further mentioned criticism faced by Pakistan’s leadership, stating that people will continue to speak against it but “caravans will keep moving forward.”
“At this time I remember the Messenger of Allah’s saying that if the entire nation is against you, if Allah is with you, no one can do anything to you,” he added.
He concluded the message by saying, “I love Asim Munir. Kashmir loves Asim Munir.”
The video has gained traction online amid Pakistan’s recent diplomatic engagement involving Washington DC and Tehran.
Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif tweeted on Wednesday that the US and Iran, along with their allies, had agreed to a two-week ceasefire following mediation efforts by his government.
“I... extend deepest gratitude to the leadership of both the countries and invite their delegations to Islamabad on Friday, 10th April 2026, to further negotiate for a conclusive agreement to settle all disputes,” he wrote in a post on X.
Pakistan has been acting as a channel for communication between the two sides, with delegations expected in Islamabad for further talks.
