A 35-year-old man suffered severe burn injuries in Kasur after dousing himself in petrol and setting himself on fire outside his in-laws’ home within the jurisdiction of Mustafa Abad Police Station.
He was allegedly driven to the extreme measures after his wife refused to return home with him after a domestic dispute.
Rescue officials stated that the man, identified as Shahbaz, arrived at his in-laws’ residence attempting to convince his wife to reconcile and return home after she left following an argument.
When she refused to go back with him, Shahbaz poured petrol over himself in front of the house and set himself ablaze.
