American singer and sometimes actor Lady Gaga, who is now a part of Netflix’s megahit Wednesday's Season 2, has announced the launch of a new song on the show’s Graveyard Gala.

The main lead of the show, Jenna Ortega, was also part of the event alongside other cast members Emma Myers and Joy Sunday.

Lady Gaga made a surprise appearance at the event to announce the new song, The Dead Dance, that will be featured in Wednesday Season 2, Part 2.

The makers and co-runners of the show said that “Lady Gaga became a big fan of Season 1 when her song Bloody Mary became the de facto track for Wednesday’s viral dance on TikTok. They also shared that she was very excited to be part of the show.

In her announcement, Lady Gaga said the song will be released on September 3rd. A snippet of the song was also played at the event and Lady Gaga “couldn’t wait to see them do the dead dance”.

The evening began with guests stepping into an amazing Tim Burton–inspired world. The party was shrouded in fog, with raven props perched on headstones etched with Wednesday Easter eggs scattered throughout the haunted gala. Attendees enjoyed Wednesday-themed snacks and cocktails under flickering lanterns as they wandered through moss-covered trees and spider-webbed iron fences. Poets wrote custom, epitaph-worthy haiku for attendees on typewriters, while aura readers revealed which Wednesday character matched each guest’s energy.
