Lahore police on Monday arrested the main suspect in the Manga Mandi juice point firing case, less than 24 hours after the incident, using modern technology to trace him to Kasur.
Police recovered the pistol and bullets used in the attack from his possession, while a case has been registered against him.
The arrest came about after CCTV footage of the incident came to light, showing three men opening fire at a food point owner and his staff after a dispute over an unpaid bill.
According to media reports, the suspects were identified as Boda Jatt and two associates, though police did not name them in their statement.
The men had visited the food point and ordered juice. After receiving the bill, they allegedly paid less than the required amount, leading to an argument with the employees.
Reports said that the situation escalated when staff asked the men to pay the remaining amount, and the suspects then allegedly pulled out firearms and opened fire at the owner and workers before fleeing the scene.
Investigators collected bullet casings from the site during the initial probe.
