Israeli businessman Roni Mani has claimed that US President Donald Trump pressured Sara Netanyahu, the wife of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to secure Israeli acceptance of US demands regarding Lebanon.
According to Israeli media reports, Mani said that Trump warned Sara Netanyahu that non-compliance with the US position on Lebanon would result in severe personal consequences for the family.
Mani claimed Trump stated that Prime Minister (PM) Netanyahu could face imprisonment, his son Yair Netanyahu could be deported from the US and the family’s American assets could be frozen.
Conversely, Mani alleged that Trump offered the family a guarantee of asylum in the US in the event of an electoral defeat in Israel.
According to Mani, Sara Netanyahu told Trump she supported his stance and subsequently pressured her husband. The Israeli Prime Minister then reportedly contacted Trump and agreed to the American position on Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Trump has expressed reluctance to engage in a military conflict with Iran, reportedly telling advisers that military action would only occur if American troops were directly targeted.
