Sindh High Court has granted bail to a man accused of kidnapping his former fiancée and gang-raping her along with his accomplices.
The court heard the post-arrest bail application of Adnan, who was named in the kidnapping and rape case. After hearing arguments from the lawyers, the court approved his bail application and directed him to submit surety bonds worth Rs100,000.
During the hearing, the court was told that a case had been registered against the accused at Surjani Police Station. According to the case, the complainant alleged that her sister was kidnapped and subjected to rape.
The complainant said that her sister has been engaged to the accused, but it was later called off.
According to the case, the complainant maintained that when she and her husband had gone to work, her sister’s former fiancé, along with his accomplices, kidnapped her sister and later gang-raped her.
During the hearing, the court observed that the investigation record did not support the complainant’s stance, following which Adnan’s post-arrest bail application was approved.
