A girl was murdered after allegedly being subjected to sexual assault in the Abadpur area of Rahim Yar Khan district. According to local police and investigation sources, the incident occurred in Imam Nagar village, where the victim was initially taken under the pretext of an online employment opportunity.
The deceased, a young girl whose identity remains protected, was allegedly drugged and raped before being fatally run over by a vehicle.
The body is going through medico-legal requirements through local healthcare facilities, where forensic evidence and post-mortem examinations are being conducted. Rahim Yar Khan police have registered a criminal case and formally launched an investigation into the crime after a First Information Report [FIR] was lodged on the complaint of the deceased girl’s mother.
The primary suspect nominated in the case, a young man identified as Anas, has been arrested by law enforcement officials and remains the central focus of the police probe.
According to the District Police Officer (DPO), teams are actively conducting searches to apprehend other suspects involved in the crime, while authorities await final medical reports to establish the definitive sequence of events.
