Sundar police in Lahore have arrested a professional snake charmer named Mushtaq for allegedly harassing a female polio worker by throwing a black snake at her and threatening her while she was carrying out her duties.
According to a spokesperson for the DIG Operations, the woman was on duty as part of the polio campaign when the incident took place.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran said: “The protection of workers engaged in the polio campaign is our top priority. We will deal strictly with those who obstruct the work of polio teams.”
Lahore Police said on its official X account: “Sundar police have arrested the accused who allegedly threw a black snake at a female polio worker on duty and threatened her. A case has been registered for misbehaving with the polio worker and interfering in official work, and legal action has begun.”
