Gaggo Mandi police in Vehari district have registered a case against a man accused of repeatedly raping a married woman, who later became pregnant.

According to the police Public Relations Officer (PRO), the woman, identified as Y, told police that suspect I, who is her relative, had access to her house while her husband was in Istanbul for work.

She alleged that the suspect repeatedly sexually assaulted her at home and recorded objectionable videos and pictures of her. She claimed that he later used the material to blackmail her and continued sexually assaulting her, resulting in a pregnancy.

The woman said her uncle, identified as A, arrived at the house during one of the alleged assaults and tried to overpower the suspect. She alleged that the suspect escaped after threatening her.

She further said that the suspect later abducted her with the help of two unidentified men. According to her complaint, the suspects held her at gunpoint, forced her into a double-cabin pickup and took her to Lahore, where the suspect continued to sexually assault her.

The woman added that she eventually escaped and approached police, requesting DNA and medical tests to establish the assaults.

The police spokesman told a private media outlet that an FIR [First Information Report] had been registered against three suspects under Sections 376 and 496-A of the Pakistan Penal Code.

He added that police had referred the woman to a hospital for medical examination, while teams were working to trace and arrest the suspects.
