A man was injured after reportedly jumping from the third floor of Lahore’s Children Hospital, media reports said Saturday.
According to witnesses, the incident occurred when the man, identified as Imran, attempted to enter a ward to see his daughter but was stopped by security guards.
They claimed the guards pushed him out of the ward, leading to a heated argument, adding that it wasn’t later when Imran jumped off the third floor of the hospital.
Imran was immediately shifted to Lahore General Hospital where he is receiving medical treatment.
While reports said he suffered a fractured leg, neither the hospital administration nor the police have issued a detailed statement explaining the sequence of events.
They have also not yet responded to the allegations of misconduct by security staff.
Hospital staff, however, responded immediately after the incident, providing emergency assistance before transferring Imran to Lahore General Hospital for further treatment.
No arrests or disciplinary action have been announced so far.
