An 18-year-old girl and a young man have allegedly been shot dead in the name of honour in Mahmood Bagh village, Shikarpur, Sindh, police said.
Police identified the victims as 18-year-old Basheera and Altaf Ahmed who is in his mid-20s. According to police, Basheera’s father, Abdullah, allegedly opened fire on the two and killed them.
Police took the bodies into custody and shifted them to a hospital for legal formalities.
Police arrested Abdullah and started an investigation into the incident.
The incident comes as four women have reportedly been killed in separate honour-related incidents in Shikarpur over the past week.
