A man shot and killed his wife and three other members of his in-laws’ family before taking his own life in Lahore’s Chuhng area.
According to police, the suspect, Imran Shaukat, had allegedly forced his wife, Samia Bibi, into marriage six months ago. She had been living at her parents’ home.
Police said that the suspect went to his in-laws’ house on Tuesday morning to take his wife with him, however, he then opened fire, killing Samia Bibi.
When her family resisted, the suspect also shot and killed her father Ali Khan, her 21-year-old brother Zeeshan, and her mother Shumaila.
The suspect later shot himself and died by suicide.
Police reached the scene after being informed about the incident and shifted the bodies to Jinnah Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
