Man sentenced for nine years for sharing ‘indecent’ videos of female TikToker
Judicial Magistrate Karachi East has sentenced a person named Lutf Ali to a total of nine years in jail, after he was found guilty in ‘producing and sharing indecent videos’ of a female TikTok star.
Apart from imprisonment, the court also imposed a fine of 60 thousand rupees. In case of non-payment of fines, the accused will suffer additional punishment.
How did the incident happen?
The plaintiff had filed a complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cybercrime division. According to the woman, the accused called her home to work together on a project where she and her mother became unconscious after they drank juice which was mixed with a narcotic.
The woman also said that on regaining consciousness, she realized that her indecent photos and videos had been taken, and later, the videos were shared with other people as well.
The court said that Lutf Ali hurt the woman’s dignity by making her photos and videos viral, and the prosecution has been able to prove the crime against the accused.
The culprit has been arrested by the FIA Cybercrime Circle and booked under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) Act.
