Pakistani actors Mawra Hocane and Ameer Gilani have shared the heartwarming news of their baby boy’s arrival, revealing his name in an emotional Instagram post.
Ameer posted the video on Instagram, revealing the baby’s name as ‘Azmar’, which means lion and stands for strength and courage.
“Our son ‘Azmar’,” Ameer wrote in the caption. He added a Quranic verse: “And your Lord will surely give you, and you will be content.”
“Alhamdulillah. Syed Azmar Hussain Kamal Gilani, the king of our jungle, our pride, our littlest most precious treasure,” he added.
Mawra shared the news in an Instagram story, saying the couple had decided to share their little secret. “Our little secret … is yours,” she wrote. “We could fully do with some extra prayers and love.”
Fans celebrated the arrival and sent prayers. Many praised the couple’s simplicity. “No pregnancy announcement, no gender reveal, direct the baby, love ittt [sic],” one user wrote.
The two actors first worked together in the drama Sabaat and reunited in Neem. Their on-screen chemistry won them a loyal fanbase and sparked long speculation about their relationship. The couple never confirmed it.
In February 2025, they surprised fans by announcing their marriage, with photos from their Nikah ceremony in Lahore.
