Minal Khan's love story with Ahsan became possible only because of her dad

Actress Minal Khan's love story with Ahsan Mohsin Ikram might not have unfolded the way it did without the unwavering support of her father.

Appearing as a guest on Geo Podcast with Mubashir Hashm, Minal Khan talked about her dad standing by her decisions, even when her mother had doubts about her relationship with Ahsan.

"I told Baba, ‘You know, I like somebody, and I want to settle down.' He said, ‘Okay,’ and I replied, ‘But Mama doesn’t like him much.'"

The Jalan actress recalled how her father’s unwavering support made everything possible.

 “At that time, Mama said, ‘No, no, no, that can’t happen. But my father said, ‘If you want to do it, I will make it happen for you.’ Baba was so, so supportive,"  Minal Khan added.

Minal Khan married Ahsan Mohsin Ikram on September 10, 2021.

Minal Khan's father Mubeen Khan passed away on December 31, 2020.

 Earlier, celebrity couple of Minal Khan and Ahsan Mohsin Ikram are set to appear together on Ahsan Khan’s chat show.

The Udaari star recorded a behind the scenes video with the couple and asked them about the biggest change in their life after getting married.

The Mera Rab Waris actor stated that now he is being trolled on social media and gets abused on a regular basis.

Minal was quick to react to his statement by adding that these are the after effects of being accustomed with a renowned celebrity.

Even before their marriage the couple was targeted for their online PDA and later their honeymoon pictures garnered polarising response from the netizens.

Earlier, appearing as a guest on ‘What Nonsense with Zara Noor Abbas’, the actress has shared her thoughts on a possible return to television screens.

“I ask myself this question every morning, and I tell myself, ‘Yes’, because I am manifesting it for myself. If I don’t think about it, it won’t happen. But I feel my baby is still young and needs her mother. But I do miss television,” she said in response to a question about her potential return.

The Jalan star also spoke about an actress she admired.

“I like Hania Aamir a lot. She is beautiful and talented. I really appreciate how she has transformed herself. I feel like she has accepted everything about herself. She knows who she is. I believe that’s what makes a woman strong. You don’t need to explain to anyone who you are when you already know it yourself,” Minal said.

After giving one hit drama serial after another, Minal took a break from TV serials when she tied the knot with Ahsan Mohsin Ikram on September 10, 2021.

She starred in dramas such as Kaash Main Teri Beti Hoti, Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah, Mann Ke Moti, Adhoori Aurat, Mere Meherban, Mol, Joru Ka Ghulam, Hum Sab Ajeeb Se Hain, Nand and Ishq Hai.
