Mockery of Rizwan or message for selectors? Iftikhar's Insta Story goes viral

An Instagram story posted on Tuesday by Pakistani cricketer  Iftikhar Ahmed has gone viral.

The story showed national white-ball team captain Muhammad Rizwan, vice-captain Salman Ali Agha and former captain Shaheen Afridi getting out while trying to hit sixes during the Australia tour, while the second part of the video showed Iftikhar Ahmed hitting sixes in Australia.

The interesting caption in the first part of the video was, "It's not easy to hit sixes in Australia." The caption on the second part of the video was "Unless you are Iftikhar".

However, it was not clear from the story whether Iftikhar was criticizing Rizwan and other national players or whether there was a message for the selectors. 

Iftikhar last represented the national team in the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 World Cup 2024, where he was unable to put up a special performance and was later dropped from the team for the tour of Australia and South Africa.

During the T20 World Cup 2024, Iftikhar Ahmed scored only 18 runs in two matches at an average of 11.50.

At the recent Champions T20 Cup, Iftikhar Ahmed represented Markhors, the runner-up at the event.

Iftikhar Ahmed played 10 matches, scoring 169 runs at an average of 21.12, while his best score was 66 and one fifty during the event.

Iftikhar Ahmed hit 4 fours and 12 sixes in 10 matches.
