Mohammad Asif defeats Indian player to win IBSF World Masters Snooker Championship

Pakistan’s snooker star Mohammad Asif has added another feather to his cap by winning the IBSF World Masters Snooker Championship, defeating India’s Brijesh Damani in a thrilling final.

 

The championship took place in Bahrain, where Asif overcame Damani with a 4-3 victory in a closely contested match that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

 

The Pakistan vs India final lived up to expectations, with both players battling hard in every frame. Asif initially took a 2-frame lead, but Damani fought back to win the next three frames, taking a 3-2 advantage. However, Asif made a strong comeback, levelling the score and then sealing the win in the decisive seventh frame.

 

The frame scores were 98-37, 75-55, 00-80, 49-52, 41-64, 91-29, and 78-9 in Asif’s favour.

 

This marks Mohammad Asif’s sixth world title, after previously winning two World Team Championships and three individual world titles.
