Actress Momina Iqbal has broken her silence in a series of Instagram Stories, detailing the psychological toll of what she describes as years of sustained harassment, fabricated complaints, and character assassination.

She wrote that she chose to publicly name and share the faces of individuals she holds responsible, despite being advised against it by those around her.

“Everyone tells me not to mention or expose these people, but what I have endured for years, I do not want another woman to go through,” she wrote. “I am sharing their faces so women can remain cautious around such individuals. This reflects the filth in their mindset. If they do not harm someone today, they may harm someone tomorrow.”

In a second post, Momina addressed the personal cost of fighting the battle publicly, saying she only spoke out after every other option was exhausted.

“I raised my voice because I was exhausted. I was forced into it because no other option was left. Every day is now spent proving the truth,” she wrote. “Sometimes I think it would have been better if I had committed suicide. If not a life of dignity, at least I would have found peace in death. Then there would have been justice for Momina.”

Momina clarified that her decision to speak publicly did not come from a place of courage. Responding to a social media post that described her as a brave example, she said her actions stemmed from desperation, not bravery.

The statements follow her decision to approach the NCCIA and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), alleging sustained online harassment and intimidation by ruling party MPA _ Chadhar.

She also expressed frustration that individuals found guilty under the FIR were granted bail, enabling further harm against her family.

The NCCIA registered a case under Sections 3, 4, 21 and 24 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA), read with Sections 506, 201, 34 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), after she submitted digital evidence including alleged threatening messages against her and her family.

Chadhar is alleged to have turned abusive after Momina turned down his marriage proposal upon discovering he was already married.

A Lahore court has since granted him interim pre-arrest bail, with the NCCIA barred from arresting him until June 24.
