Singer Atif Aslam has joined the internet’s latest meme trend after responding to a fan who pointed out the hefty price tag of his jacket.
The singer recently shared a picture wearing a red jacket, which caught the attention of one social media user. The fan commented on the outfit, writing, “I really like that jacket but 2650£,” seemingly stunned by its price.
Instead of ignoring the comment, Atif responded with a playful motivational message that referenced one of the internet’s most viral catchphrases of 2026. “Mehnat ker mera bhai, money follows,” Atif wrote, tagging the fan in his reply.
Atif’s response appears to be a nod to Indian actor-politician Ravi Kishan’s viral “money follows my brother” line, which has recently taken social media by storm.
The phrase came from a podcast conversation between Kishan and host Raj Shamani, during which Shamani asked him to choose between pehchaan, meaning recognition, and paisa, meaning money.
Kishan immediately chose recognition and replied, “Pehchaan. Money follows my brother!” The clip was subsequently transformed into memes and reels across social media, with even the Bharatiya Janata Party using the line in one of its own videos aimed at young voters.
Atif Aslam, one of Pakistan’s most popular playback singers, is known for hits across both Pakistani and Indian films, along with acclaimed Coke Studio performances such as “Tajdar-e-Haram” and “Wohi Khuda Hai.”
