Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Rabita Committee leaders have called on British authorities to investigate an alleged attack on the north London residence of party founder Altaf Hussain, according to a private media outlet.
Party sources said that two masked men allegedly targeted Hussain’s home and attempted to force their way inside while Hussain was inside his ground-floor bedroom, only a few feet from the point where they tried to gain entry.
The intruders fled after the security alarm went off, according to the party.
According to the MQM, the men “jumped over the front gate” and tried to enter the house.
The party said that the two intruders appeared to be “well-trained” and caused extensive damage while attempting to gain access to the property.
The men allegedly damaged the front door and windows during the attempted break-in.
MQM Rabita Committee leaders have urged British authorities to conduct a “thorough investigation” into the incident and identify the two men involved.
The party has called for authorities to establish who the men were and investigate the circumstances surrounding the alleged attack.
