Muhammad Amir’s departure for Ireland postponed due to visa delays

News Desk

May 06

Pakistan cricket team’s fast bowler Muhammad Amir’s departure for Ireland has been postponed due to delays in visa processes.

The Pakistani team is scheduled to leave for a tour of Ireland and England at 1.30 am on Tuesday, but one of the key members of the squad, Muhammad Amir, will not be with them.

Amir’s visa delay is likely linked to concerns over his previous involvement in spot-fixing in 2010, which led to a brief prison sentence in the UK. This is not the first time Aamir has faced visa delays. A similar situation happened during Pakistan’s previous tour to Ireland and England in 2018.
