Actor Muneeb Butt has said that couples should keep marital issues private and not take them to social media, where they invite public scrutiny and criticism.
During an appearance on a private TV channel, Muneeb called it “a serious matter.”
He said, “Whatever happens within the privacy of your home should stay private. When you bring your domestic issues to social media, you are opening them up for public discussion. People will criticise you, pass judgments, make jokes, and some may even mock you. Others may use your family problems as a source of entertainment.”
He said he would never advise anyone to bring their domestic issues to social media. “I follow the same principle in my own life,” he continued. “Whatever happens within my home is my family’s personal matter, not social media’s,” he added.
Butt said bringing problems online makes them worse. “Social media is not the solution to your problems,” he emphasised.
Butt married actress Aiman Khan in November 2018. The couple have worked together in several dramas, including Khwab Saraye and Baandi.
His other TV work includes Yaariyan, which earned him a Best Television Actor nomination at the 2020 Pakistan International Screen Awards, and Yeh Na Thi Hamari Qismat, in which he starred with Hira Mani.
The Hum Awards also nominated him for Best Actor Popular for Baandi.
