Its clichéd to say so but truly, Indians and Pakistanis are divided by a border but joined by their cultural heritage.
Appearing as a guest on Suno To Sahi hosted by Hina Niazi, Nadia Afgan opened up about working in Indian cinema and the strong friendship she shares with Indian actress Sonam Bajwa.
"If given a chance to work in Indian Punjabi movies, would you," asked the host.
Nadia Afgan replied, “I have been given offers, I was offered a couple of times, but the timing was always off, and for some reason, I couldn't go. Once, my father was ill, so I couldn’t go. But yes, I would definitely do it.”
The Radd actress also shared her admiration for Sonam Bajwa, calling her a friend and praising her work: “I really like Sonam Bajwa's movies, she is my friend, I talk to her, she is amazing, wonderful.”
She explained that they stayed connected through social media and recalled how their friendship began.
“I remember when Suno Chanda had a clip with me once, I thanked them, and then our friendship started,” Nadia added.
When asked if she would accept an offer from India, the Kabuli Pulao actress replied, “Of course, I would, why wouldn’t I accept? I am an artist, I am an actor. If any country offers me a good role, why wouldn’t I accept it? There are no boundaries or borders in arts.”
Our ideal cross-border colab would star Fawad Khan, Sonam Bajwa and Nadia Afgan. Wouldn't that be a treat for sore eyes?
