Pakistani model and actress Nadia Hussain has revealed that ARY, one of the biggest channels in the country, owes her payment for morning show appearances she made roughly one and a half years ago, highlighting a pattern of delayed payments she says is common in the entertainment industry.
Speaking on a YouTube podcast, Hussain was asked which platform had held back her money the longest.
She replied: "I don't remember honestly, but ARY's morning show payments have been pending for about one and a half years now."
She clarified that she was referring to episodes in which she appeared as a guest, not as a permanent host.
Hussain also spoke about positive experiences elsewhere in the industry, specifically praising producer Babar Javed and Green Entertainment for their professionalism.
ARY has not responded to the claims.
Nadia started her modelling career in 2000 and was the only Pakistani model chosen by designer Rizwan Beyg for Sarajevo Fashion Week.
She stepped into acting in 2008 with the drama serial Manay Na Yeh Dil alongside Ayesha Khan and Faisal Qureshi, going on to appear in dramas including Ladies Park, Sitamgar, Noor Bano, Parizaad, and Pehchaan.
Beyond the screen, she is a qualified dentist and also runs her own cosmetics brand and a chain of salons and beauty clinics.
