Bollywood thespian Nawazuddin Siddiqui has garnered many accolades over the course of his career but he still has some unfulfilled dreams.

The actor has always admired Kamal Haasan, but one challenge from the legendary actor remains an unfulfilled dream for the Bollywood star. Despite his immense talent and success, Siddiqui recalls a moment when he couldn’t meet Haasan’s high standards.
During an interview with Filmfare, Siddiqui spoke about his experience working with the legendary Haasan, not as a fellow actor but as his dialogue coach.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui said, “I have always been a great fan of Kamal Haasan, and it’s an honour to work with someone I admire so deeply. My admiration for him isn’t just as a fan, but also as a professional who has had the privilege of experiencing his genius up close.”

Nawazuddin described how a senior colleague had inquired about his interest in working in the South Indian film industry. “I even wrote dialogues for his film Abhay at that time, I was unemployed so that I could do such work. Once, I presented a dialogue in front of Kamal Haasan, and I was proud of it. But Haasan, known for his high standards and dedication to the craft, posed a unique challenge.”

Siddiqui then said that Kamaal asked him for something unexpected.
“He asked me, ‘Can you do it in 10 different ways?’ I replied, ‘I can do it in three or four ways at most. I couldn’t complete the task as, but it was a valuable learning experience.”
