Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) of Punjab, Hina Parvez Butt,has publicly condemned YouTuber Rajab Butt after a video of him filming a meal at a public dining area sparked widespread backlash online.

The footage, which spread rapidly across X and other social media platforms, shows the YouTuber recording in a restaurant while a family seated directly behind him appears visibly uncomfortable.

A woman in the background is seen attempting to shield her face and turning away from the camera. Users on social media slammed the moment as “intrusive” and “predatory.”

Hina Parvez Butt did not hold back in her response. “

“Extremely shameful behaviour. These people have neither shame nor sense. Wherever they feel like it, they take out a camera and start filming, with no consideration that there may be a family sitting nearby. The unfortunate thing is that for some people, such individuals are heroes,” she wrote on X.

The backlash comes at an already turbulent time for Rajab Butt.

A sessions court in Karachi recently cancelled his interim pre-arrest bail in a case involving alleged desecration of religious sentiments after he repeatedly failed to appear before the court. That case stems from an FIR registered in January 2025 at Hyderi Market police station under Section 295-A of the Pakistan Penal Code.

A Lahore sessions court has also set a date to frame charges against him in a separate gang rape case. The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency has additionally registered a case against him for allegedly promoting online gambling applications.

On the personal front, Rajab Butt’s marriage to Eman Fatima, which took place in 2024, ended in divorce earlier this year. The couple welcomed a son, Kivan Sultan, in September 2025. Butt confirmed the split in March 2026 during an appearance on Rehan Tariq’s podcast, after which he formally sent divorce papers to Eman.
