A newborn baby girl, found abandoned near a graveyard in Murree’s Bhurban Kahia area, has been shifted to a hospital by Rescue 1122.
According to reports, a passer-by spotted the infant early on Tuesday morning near the graveyard and informed Rescue 1122.
The rescue team reached the site and took the baby into their care. Officials carried out an initial medical examination on the spot and provided first aid before shifting her to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Murree.
Hospital staff said that the infant was kept under observation and given medical care to ensure that her condition remained stable.
After doctors confirmed that the baby was out of danger, the hospital administration handed her over to the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau in Rawalpindi under the Punjab government.
Officials have not yet shared details about who left the child near the graveyard or how long she had been there before being found.
