Nikola Jokic Hits Epic 66-Foot Kick for 5th Consecutive Triple-Double

Jokic was the one who had the last touch on the ball in the third quarter with just 1.7 seconds left on the clock. He caught an inbounds pass and took a contested 66-foot shot that went in cleanly without even touching the rim. While his teammates celebrated around him, he moved to the bench, and the stadium exploded in joy. 

Russell Westbrook remained adamant in his assertion that it was a bomb. I loved his ability to not react to it. That's what I liked about it.

At that moment, it looked like the shot would be a mere footnote in the game. Denver was leading Sacramento 110-85. However, Sacramento made a valiant effort to come back, and Denver ended the game with a close victory, 132-123. It was their fourth victory in as many games.

The Jakic's superb performance stat line of 35 points, 22 rebounds, and 17 assists. However, it was obvious which shot took center stage during the game to accentuate it, highlighting two other field goals made. The Nuggets' head coach emphasized, "That does not surprise me. That is the uncommon culmination of factors this guy has."

Nikola Jokic Earns Spot as 2025 NBA All-Star Starter

On Thursday night, the NBA revealed the starters for the 2025 All-Star Game. It is a blend of enduring superstars and growing talent while ushering in All-Star Weekend in San Francisco on February 16.

Giannis Antetokounmpo leads the Eastern Conference starting lineup. Donovan Mitchell of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Karl-Anthony Towns, Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks, and Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics will be accompanying him.

Other well-known starters include LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, and Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors. LeBron James will host the celebration in his hometown.

The starters had become a mixture of fan voting (50%), player voting (25%), and media voting (25%). It is formally announced just when the NBA is midway into its 2024-25 season as the league gears up for some exciting all-star weekend.
