YouTuber and actor Shahveer Jafry has shared the story of how he first met his wife Ayesha Baig, revealing that a random scroll through his Instagram direct messages led to their relationship.
During a recent interview on a private news channel, Shahveer recalled how he came across Ayesha’s profile while browsing through the numerous messages he received on Instagram.
“I was scrolling through my DMs randomly. I used to get a lot of messages daily, so I thought I’d just scroll through them. While scrolling, I happened to place my hand somewhere, and that profile was my wife’s. That’s the real story,” he explained.
Shahveer revealed that Ayesha was single at the time and that her pictures immediately caught his attention.
“I thought to myself, ‘Is this fake? No one can be this pretty,’” he recalled.
He added that he continued sending her simple greetings to find out whether the person behind the profile was real.
“I kept saying hello and hi to her for quite a while, just to find out if she was a real human being or some sort of robot,” Shahveer shared.
However, getting a response took longer than he expected. According to the YouTuber, it took around a month or a month and a half to arrange their first meeting because Ayesha rarely replied to his messages.
When the host asked whether she would sometimes leave his morning messages unanswered for seven hours, Shahveer confirmed that it did happen.
He decided that meeting in person was the only way to find out whether the person he had been messaging was genuine.
The couple eventually married in October 2021, and Shahveer’s account of their first interaction offered a glimpse into how their relationship began.
Shahveer is currently appearing in HUM TV’s drama Hurmat, his television acting debut, alongside Dananeer Mobeen. The serial is written by Kashif Anwar, directed by Nadeem Siddiqui and produced by Momina Duraid Productions.
He also maintains a substantial online audience, with approximately 4.4 million Instagram followers and 4.06 million YouTube subscribers.
