Actor and model Amna Ilyas has denied confirmed involvement in an upcoming film with Yasir Hussain, days after reports claimed the two would star together in a social comedy titled “Paanch Hazaar Main Shaadi”.
Ilyas issued the clarification in an Instagram story, addressing what she called circulating news about her involvement in the project.
“There has been some news circulating on social media regarding my involvement in a film with Yasir Hussain,” she said, clarifying that while she had been in discussions about the project, nothing had been finalised yet.
“As of now, I am not officially a part of the film,” she added.
Ilyas said she would share any confirmed updates herself once discussions reach a conclusion. “If and when there is any confirmed news, I’ll be sure to share it with you myself,” she wrote.
She also asked media outlets to verify information before reporting it as fact.
“A small request to media publications: please verify information with the concerned person or their official representatives before publishing it as fact. Speculative reports can easily be mistaken for confirmed news, creating unnecessary confusion for everyone involved,” she wrote.
