Actor Emmad Irfani did not need long to think when a host asked him to choose between his Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum co-stars in a recent interview.
“You’re on a sinking boat and you have two life jackets. One is for yourself, and the other must be given to someone else. Who would you give it to: Hania Aamir or Naeema Butt?” the host asked.
“I would give it to Hania, of course” Irfani said.
“Well, there you have it. Fans of Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum have their answer now,” the host replied.
Both Hania Aamir and Naeema Butt starred alongside Irfani in the 2024 ARY Digital drama. Written by Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Badar Mehmood, Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum also featured Fahad Mustafa, Javed Sheikh, and Bushra Ansari.
Irfani played Adeel, an ambitious elder brother, while Hania Aamir played Sharjeena, a driven, top-performing young woman who begins the story engaged to Adeel before the plot takes a different turn.
Before Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, Irfani made a strong impression in Cheekh (2019), playing Saba Qamar’s husband in the crime drama, and followed it with Jalan (2020), where he played the morally complex Asfandyar opposite Minal Khan and Areeba Habib.
Irfani started his career as a model in 2002 and moved into acting in 2013. He has been one of the more consistent faces on Pakistani television since.
