Pak vs Aus: Teams observe one minute silence for Peshawar, Shane Warne
The Pakistan and Australian cricket team observed a one minute silence in Pindi Stadium for Peshawar blast victims and Shane Warne, ahead of the second day of the first test match between both teams. The players also wore black armbands to pay tribute to Shane Warne, who died of a suspected heart attack at the age of 52.
At least 56 people have lost their lives in an explosion that took place during Jumma (Friday) prayers at a mosque in Peshawar’s Kocha Risaldar, one of the densely populated areas in the city.
Warne is regarded as one of the finest leg-spin bowlers of all time, bagging 708 Test wickets in a career that spanned from 1992 to 2007.
Following the news of Shane Warne’s death, cricketers and fans from all over the world started expressing their grief and sadness over his demise.
