Pakistan has defeated Thailand in the Asian Under 18 Volleyball Championship to stay unbeaten throughout the group stage.
Pakistan kept up its strong run in the AVC Asian Boys Under 18 Volleyball Championship 2026, beating Thailand 3-0 in its final group match to finish top of Group C.
At the ongoing event in Haikou, China, Pakistan defeated Thailand 25-19, 25-19 and 25-23.
The national team secured its third straight win of the event and did not drop a single set through the entire group stage.
Pakistan had earlier beaten Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, both by 3-0 scorelines, becoming the first team to reach the quarterfinals.
In the group stage, Pakistan beat Kyrgyzstan 25-10, 25-19 and 25-17, defeated Kazakhstan 25-14, 25-12 and 25-9, and beat Thailand 25-19, 25-19 and 25-23 to sweep all three matches.
Fahad Ali, Muhammad Anas and captain Muhammad Irfan stood out for Pakistan.
Thailand put up a resistance in the third set, but the Pakistani players handled the pressure well to close out the match.
Pakistan will now face the runner up of Pool A in the quarterfinal on July 16. The runner up spot will be decided after the match between hosts China and Chinese Taipei.
